A little bit about me...

My name is Chrystal Haiveta and I am writing to apply for a 1st year Painting Apprenticeship. I am very interested in a apprenticeship and see this as an opportunity to start my career and purse my goals to become a qualified Painter and Decorator. I am fit energetic and love to work with my hands and I am comfortable working with the necessary power/hand tools required in a safe manner. I have an interest in paint and have basic knowledge of sealing and preparing surfaces which I’m sure will help me transition smoothly into this apprenticeship. Although I do not possess much experience in the painting industry alone, my interest in color, the process and outcome matched with my ability to learn quickly will help me to excel in this apprenticeship. My extensive background in detailing boats has also taught me a range of transferable skills which have equipped me with much attention to detail as well as having the ability to work independently and in a team, along with meeting deadlines and maintaining a safe and friendly environment at all times. These qualities that I possess will help me significantly when working on site as I am able to communicate and listen effectively, in order to determine the problem and quickly find the solution. My ability to take initiative in situations helps to ensure service is provided in a timely manner. These traits matched with my physical stamina will help fulfil any duties associated with this job making me an excellent candidate for this postion.
