A little bit about me...

My name is James, I am 20 years old and I'm going to tell you a bit about myself. I was brought up by an Australian mother and a Palestinian father. I got to year 12 in high school but I dropped out before completing. I am planning to eventually go and complete my HSC at TAFE but right now, I am determined on becoming a fully qualified wall and floor tiler. Since the age of 13, I would go with my father to work with him and learn the skills that I would need to be a wall and floor tiler. I have never started an apprenticeship but to reach my goal, I need to. I received my White Card in 2016. The skills that make me the right person to be your apprentice are:

• Great communication and listening skills
• Confidently works part of a team or independently
• Correctly uses tools and equipment
• Experience passing, lifting and cutting tiles on grinder or sigma
• Experience mixing sand, cement and water with a shovel
• Experience mixing adhesive glue for tiles
• Experience grouting tiles
