A little bit about me...I am eager to begin my chosen career as a carpenter. From late 2016 to February 2017 I worked full time for JDR Windows and Doors (please see details on following pages) in my hometown of Coffs Harbour, to be able to fund my attendance at Newcastle University. During December 2017 I assisted a carpenter friend with some home renovations. This recent work experience has made me realise that my passion is for carpentry and that I needed to re-evaluate my decision to study engineering as I really enjoy the physical work and hands on aspect that is associated with trade work. I would love to acquire an Apprentice Carpenter position in the Newcastle region. I can provide your business with the advantage of my enthusiasm, great work ethic and expanding practical knowledge base. I am also very physically fit and have my own basic tool kit including a Makita drill, grinder, driver and other assorted hand tools. My work history to date has provided me with experience using many tools such as table saws, drop-saws, grinders, punches, drills, etc. I am also familiar with the tasks of repairing and installing windows and doors. I currently hold a white card certificate and I interact well with customers.
